Another band that has a song named after the previous album.\u00a0 That was a coincidence unless subliminally, I had it\u00a0planned all along and just was not consciously aware.<\/p>\n<p>After completely enjoying Def Leppard&#8217;s <em>Pyromania<\/em> I had to get more. At that time more meant <em>On Through The Night<\/em> or <em>High &#8216;N&#8217; Dry. <\/em> I gambled on <em>High &#8216;N&#8217; Dry<\/em> and I feel like I won. To this day, I don&#8217;t think that I&#8217;ve ever heard <em>On Through The Night. <\/em> Maybe I should check it out.<\/p>\n<p>One of the early observations that I had was that the lyric structure on <em>Let It Go <\/em>was very similar to <em>Quiet Riot&#8217;s Metal Health.\u00a0 <\/em>Here are the first few lines of <em>Metal Health. <\/em>Go ahead and cue up <em>Let It Go<\/em> then see how well these words fit.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Well I&#8217;m an<\/li>\n<li>Axegrinder,<\/li>\n<li>piledriver<\/li>\n<li>Mother says<\/li>\n<li>that I never, never mind her<\/li>\n<li>Got no brains<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m insane<\/li>\n<li>The teacher says<\/li>\n<li>that I&#8217;m one big pain<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OK so it is not perfect but you get the idea. <em>High &#8216;N&#8217; Dry<\/em> was a little more raw and under produced compared to <em>Pyromania<\/em>. Which was welcome at that point in <em>The Metal Years. <\/em>Although I played this one quite a bit, it never could overtake <em>Pyromania<\/em> on my list of favorites. It does contain another one of those <em>Rise &amp; Fall Of &#8217;84<\/em> crossover songs, <em>Bringin&#8217; On The Hearbreak.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><\/em>Sadly, this would be my last Def Leppard purchase.
