\"Iron<\/a>I can’t remember where I first saw Iron Maiden Behind The Iron Curtain<\/em> .Was it MTV or one of the documentaries on Night Flight<\/em>. I really don’t have any idea and not interested enough to try to find out.<\/p>\n

What I do know is that I was really into Iron Maiden<\/em> and Powerslave <\/em> was getting them noticed. At some point in The Roach Motel Days<\/em>, I was able to record both Behind The Iron Curtain<\/em> and Live After Death<\/em> on my old Betamax.<\/p>\n

Behind The Iron Curtain\u00a0<\/em>follows Iron Maiden as they take The World Slavery Tour<\/em>\u00a0into Poland, Hungary,\u00a0 Czechoslavakia and Yugoslavia.\u00a0\u00a0You have to remind yourself that this was still 4 years before\u00a0the wall came down and the Soviet stuff was all still in place. I would really be interested to see what these people and places are like today.<\/p>\n

There are some interesting moments throughout the video. I find the\u00a0offstage stuff to be the most interesting. To hear Dickinson talking to a\u00a0guy in the club who says he likes to play heavy metal on his synthesizers to which\u00a0Dickinson says “You can’t play heavy metal on synthesizers.<\/p>\n

Fortunately for me, this documentary is included on the Live After Death <\/em>DVD. Fortunatley for you, it is also on Youtube. Check it out<\/p>\n
