It is a good album but not as dear to me as <em>New Age Music.<\/em> It does serve to illustrate the wide variety of musical styles within the <em>New Age <\/em> genre.<\/p>\n<p>Some gems stand out like <em>Light On The Path<\/em> which is probably my favorite track here. Unlike most of my New Age favorites, <em>Light On The Path <\/em>features a rtraditional acoustic guitar and flute in place of synthesizers and electric guitars. The electronics are still present in a supporting role and the result is a soft rolling journey.<\/p>\n<p>Listening to <em>The Voyage Beyond, <\/em>I notice that in most of the songs the synthesizers take a back seat and tradtional pianos often take center stage. Perhaps that is the main reason why I like <em>New Age Music<\/em> more. It really satisfies my electronic music appetite. <em>The Voyage Beyond<\/em> is good New Age stuff and still in the top 10 of my New Age albums.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Christian Buehner &#8211; <em>The Chariot<\/em><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YDM-JSB-Pow?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<em><\/em>Christaal -Light On The Path<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i7G5MzwTAgc?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nThis was frustrating because\u00a0I could only find 2 out of the 12 songs on this Compact Disc.
