I can&#8217;t seem to put my finger on it. One day it was <em>Planet Of The Apes<\/em> and <em>The Six Million Dollar Man<\/em> the next it was all about <em>KISS and Bohemian Rhapsody. <\/em>I think Bohemian Rhapsody sticks out as one of the earliest songs discussed on the playground because my friend Jeff kept calling it<em>\u00a0 Bohemian Monstrosity.<\/em> Monstrosity sounds like monster which of course caught my attention.\u00a0 I&#8217;m even trying to recall my own children as they were in grade school.\u00a0 When did popular music begin to take center stage in their thoughts? It seems like it was <em>Pokemon, Pokemon, Pokemon,<\/em> <em>Linkin Park<\/em>.\u00a0 We&#8217;re getting ahead of ourselves but it was and still is quite interesting to share musical ideas and opinions with my kids.<\/p>\n<p>For now though we still have more ground work. The KISS explosion is on the horizon but now it is 7 more from the <em>Scratchy 45 Days.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Addrisi Brothers<em> &#8211; We&#8217;ve\u00a0Got To Get It\u00a0On Again<\/em><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/744i1GOsrlI?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nEven after all these years, I&#8217;m not quite sure what Killing Me Softly is really about. Is it a good thing? A bad thing? Roberta Flack &#8211; <em>Killing Me Softly<\/em><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O1eOsMc2Fgg?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nI wonder if Helen Reddy would have made it in the modern era. She doesn&#8217;t really seem to have any signature stuff. Nothing terribly remarkable. Helen Reddy &#8211; <em>You And Me Against The World<\/em><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qxd-7dTsUfQ?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nGallery has that almost stereotypical 70&#8217;s essence. Gallery &#8211; <em>It&#8217;s So Nice To Be With\u00a0You<\/em><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0cFm2a5vykc?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nEvery time I hear Karen Carpenter sing I&#8217;m struck by the warm rich tone of her voice. I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;ve said that 10 times by now.\u00a0The Carpenters &#8211;\u00a0<em>For\u00a0All We Know<\/em><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kH-xF1A9PS0?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nThis was one of my cousin Jamie&#8217;s favorites way back in the day.
